today in music we did a lot of work with the bollywood style. we had to choose and divide ourselves into 3 different groups. the first one was percussion, the second one was singing and the third one was was instrumentalists.
i was in the instrumental group and i played the soprano saxophone. about five people played the piano, 1 person played the trumpet, 1 person for the sittar, 2 for violins and 1 person for the dulcimer or in india its called SANTOOR. we came up with a melody and a tune and a groundbase. my group practised it together.
the other group had tablets as well as african drums. the singers came up with sounds to go with the bollywood theme.
then after lunch the whole media group came together toput the pieces together. we practised for over 2hours to getr it done. we had to make sure that all pour pieces would fit with the groundbase. and in the end we added a few bits to make it more interesting to listen to.
at the end of the day we had to record it perfectly without any mistakes or distubances.
it was my first time plaing the soprano sax but it wasn't as hard as i thought it would be and i enjoyed it alot.
