creative and media (roadshow)

DANCE
on tuesday at the first period of dance we were asked to go over our asigned homeworks. the teacher went over it quite a few times so that we would be able to understand it well. before we started our dance routines we talked about how we can do the homework and when it should be dued so that we have enough time to do so. then at second period we went downstairs to the hall to practice for the last time before we head of to the primary schools. we went over our dances a few times before we be ready. we had to practice a lot so that we wouldnt forget the routine. we used all the required props that were needed ( hats ,gloves, scalfs) this was needed for our teachers dance and for our dance we needed hats, sclaves,gloves, mugs, blankets, p.js, jackets, a story book and teddy bears. we used these to represent winter and christmas.


DRAMA

then in drama we only had i period of it because we had to make our way to the primary school. we had to show our dramam teacher our panto and dance to see if she thinks that its ok to show to the children. we rehearsed the dance for a while and showed it to our teacher using the music that we were given. then we rehearsed our play to make sure that we remembered our lines and when our sound effects were supposed to be on. after that we had to board onto the coach to go to the primary school.
ROADSHOW
when we arrived at the school, we had to look at the space that we had to set up our stage. we rehearsed again but this time on the stage. we had to use the space that we had for our dance and panto. we had to make it funny for the kids to enjoy and participate in the panto. we had ''BOO'' and HISS'' signs so that the children could participate.
the children enjoyed the panto because they had smiles on their faces and they were laughing aswell. i think that the roadshow was very succesfull because i enjoyed and it was much better than i had expected it to be. i enjoy playing a character that i can sink myself into properly. i like being the character and living the character all the way to the end.
i think that the only improvements that i need is to be louder when performing in a large space.






my group were the first to go the primary school to perform.

creative and media

DRAMA
today was a half day so we couldn't really have a full lesson propaly.
there was a lot that we had to do in drama today. firstly our teacher bought us our leggings and t-shirts. i had to help her figure out the sizes for the people who needed it which was all of us. most of us didnt bring our costumes and props so we had to use the ones in the drama prop box. we had to improvise with what was there. we started looking for clothes that would suit our characters. it took us a long time to find the right items. for my groups props we had to look for a cow bell for 1 of the sound effects.
after awhile we started to rehearse our pantos without our scripts. our first scene went well and the second and third and some of the forth but the rest were a mess because our stage directions were not that good. so we had extra time scheduled for us.

DANCE
in dance today we only had 1 period of it because of the half day.we had to make sure that we were up to date with our class work and homework. we were given worksheets to help us with it. on the sheet it had all the homeworks that were given to us and the ones that we had to do.they are like helper sheets. then after that we just had a run through with our dance. my group went to show our dance first but because the day was almost srious we didnt do it with all our strength.
